I know that Autoblog says this is from Gumball 3000. But it is still not acceptable.

Matt Black Rolls Royce Phantom
What would I do without World Car Fans?
I don't find this ugly per se, just really tasteless.
I saw a similar finish on the Brabus stand at the London Motor Show '08.
And on the Smart stand at Geneva '06.

Mirror Finish Bugatti Veyron
Yuk yuk yuk.
Thank you World Car Fans for bringing this monstrosity to my attention.
"Continuing Volkswagen Group's perception of the Bugatti Veyron as a shining example of automotive excellence, artist Olaf Nicolai, has turned the iconic car into something of a reflection in the art scene. Displayed at Autostadt in Wolfsburg, the mirror-finish Veyron sits in a mirrored room where the mirrors act to reflect infinitely as they would inside a mirrored elevator for example. Observers become part of the exhibit as they see themselves in the same way Bruce Lee did in that movie Enter the Dragon."
Oh I see, it's art. It's still not ok though.

Gold & Platinum Aston Martin DB7
Just as I was wondering where the next post was going to come from, along comes Aston Martin's first entry thanks to the World Car Fans blog.
24 carat gold and platinum leaf apparently. Nice.

Diamond Encrusted Lotus Europa
This one is leaving me a bit confused.
The idea sounds horrible - a diamond encrusted Lotus Europa??!! Yet the images appear to be quite tasteful.
Any opinions?

Lambo With Tattoos
A Google Image search for "Hideous Lamborghini" found this beauty on LifeOnTop.com. What did they think they were doing?
[It all becomes a bit clearer. Looks like a publicity stunt for Sharpie]

Smart Car Mods
Not quite "on brand" content for this blog. But it's my blog and they made me laugh. These pics were emailed to me, so I've no idea of the original source.
Take one Smart car...
And do some mods...

Burberry Maserati
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.
Spotted this over someone's shoulder in The Mirror today. A quick Google found these images on Autoblog.
Someone should feel very ashamed.

Rolls Royce Bling Sprit of Ecstasy - Manhattan, USA
Found this one via the World Car Fans blog. And I quote:
“Diamond after diamond” Rolls Royce's mascot, Spirit of Ecstasy, has never looked more opulent. Already made of sterling silver, this one off mascot according to Manhattan based jeweler, Jean Kemanjian, is encrusted in “150 carats of D color VVS1 quality diamonds and some fancy intense yellow diamonds on the wings." With a value of $200,000 the bejeweled flying lady was commissioned by luxury car dealership Manhattan Motorcars and put on display at the New York Auto Show just a few weeks ago.
Eugh.
